Stefanie Parnell Takes New Role At Novato’s Hamilton School

Parnell was appointed interim principal. She replaces Steve Hospodar, who in July took a new administrative role in Sonoma County.

NOVATO, CA — An interim replacement has been named for Novato elementary school principal who took a new role in Sonoma County last month.

The Novato Unified School District on Friday announced the appointment of Stefanie Parnell as Hamilton K-8 School for the 2021-2022 school year.

Parnell served as Hamilton’s assistant principal for the past eight years as the school’s dean of students before that. She previously taught math at Sinaloa and Hill middle schools.

She replaces Steve Hospodar who in July accepted a position in Petaluma’s Wilmar Union School District. Hospodar will serve as the district’s superintendent and as principal of Wilson School.

“I’m excited for this new chapter and look forward to a seamless transition,” Parnell said in a statement.
