Traffic Delays And Road Closures Planned In Marin County Due To Construction Project

A PG&E undergrounding project will take place for two weeks shutting down some roads and causing traffic delays in this Marin County town.

NOVATO, CA — A PG&E construction project started on Monday and will continue until Nov. 17 in Novato, causing traffic delays and closing some roads.

From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays from Nov. 3-17, PG&E will be drilling for its utility undergrounding project at the intersection of Novato Boulevard and Diablo Avenue.

There will be intermittent through-traffic delays on Novato Boulevard.

From Nov. 10-17 there will be lane and sidewalk closures at Novato Boulevard and Diablo Avenue with flagging and traffic control.

Diablo Avenue entrances to the Bridgecreek Apartments and Edgewater Condos will be closed during work hours Nov. 3-9 and 24 hours a day from Nov. 10-17.

There will be no parking allowed on the southeast side of Diablo Avenue from Warner Creek Senior Housing to the Novato Boulevard and the northwest side of Diablo Avenue from 809 Diablo Ave. to the intersection.

The lane closure on Novato Boulevard from Diablo Avenue to 7th Street will not be in effect during this work.
