OCEANSIDE, CA - It was a beautiful day for a parade as thousands of locals lined the streets to enjoy the 27th Annual Oceanside Independence Parade.
Parade participants gathered in the staging area next to the 101 Cafe waiting for the 10:00 a.m. start time.
Crowds were camped out in folding chairs and waving flags along Coast Highway from Wisconsin Avenue to Civic Center Drive to view the floats, bands, groups and cool cars carrying local leaders along the parade route.

The 1st Marine Division Band led the parade with other branches of the military represented along with police, fire and rescue groups.
