Blake Robinson and Joel Croll's key interceptions pace Fallbrook in 34-28 victory over Santana

Fallbrook ends 4 game losing streak in football as they defeat Santana 34-28

By David A. Willauer-Contributing Writer-Warriors Stadium-Fallbrook High School-Fallbrook, CA: 9-2-26: The Fallbrook Warriors have improved their win to 2-4 along with ending a 4 game losing streak as they defeated the Sultans of Santana by a 34-28 score before a crowd look
The Sultans jumped out to a 15-0 lead as Caleb Carnes scores the first touchdown run of 4 yards followed by QB Ethan Miller threw for 225 yards with the first passing touchdown of 17 yards to Kolten Thornton 91 yards receiving


The Warriors scored their first touchdown as tailback Grant Hall rushed for 101 yards scored on a 4 yard run to go within 15-7.


Santana went up 22-7 as QB Ethan Miller threw a 22 yard pass his 2nd to Brett Varner. The Warriors cut the Sultan lead to 22-21 as QB Harrison Jones QB threw for 357 yards connected to teammate Blake Robinson for 11 yards. After a Sultan turnover Fallbrook's Joel Crespin ran an interception for a TD.
The Sultans regained the lead at 28-26 as Ethan Miller threw his 3rd pass a 29 yarder to Caleb Carnes registered 73 yards receiving.

Fallbrook's defense and offense came on as QB Harrison Jones threw a 39 yard pass to wide receiver Teague Lucy with the PAT Failed. The Warriors regained possession of the ball as Blake Robinson pick up a blocked kickoff ran 45 yards for the touchdown as they won 34-28.


John Holcroft Head Football of Fallbrook High School: "In the second half we played better after trailing in the first half we tend to challenge our defense to go towards the ball along along with scoring touchdowns tonight." "Our defense contributed tonight by getting a Pick 6 along with a punt blocked,we had a bunch of different plays on the both sides of the ball you know that Blake Robinson recovered the fumble return." "In order for us to improve every game we did much better with the ball on the inside runs I told them after the game is that our defense won the game tonight we also have got guys back from injuries."

Blake Robinson on the 45 yard fumble recovery: "When we trailed in the first half and wanted to comeback in the second half, we received a great pep talk from Coach Holcroft he made us play a better second half." "As we trailed 28-26, Santana fumbled the ball I picked it up for 45 yards the winning score We play San Pasqual at their place and will bring it to them.
