Bonsall Fire Map: See Mission 2 Fire Perimeter, Evacuation Areas

BONSALL, CA — A brush fire prompted evacuations Monday afternoon in northern San Diego County.
The blaze, called the Mission 2 Fire, sparked in the block of 5000 South Mission Road near the community of Bonsall, according to Cal Fire and North County Fire Protection District.
As of 4 p.m., the fire had scorched 19 acres and was 5% contained, according to North County Fire Protection District. The fire was mapped at 21 acres and 10% contained by 5:30 p.m.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Office issued evacuation orders and warnings for nearby areas.
Evacuation orders were issued for the following zones: SDC-0279 and SDC-0230. Evacuation warnings were issued for the following zones: SDC-0229, SDC-0231 and SDC-0233. View an interactive map here and here.

Authorities lifted evacuation warnings after crews stopped the forward rate of spread shortly after 4 p.m.
A temporary evacuation point was established at Riverview Church at 4980 Sweetgrass Lane in Bonsall, according to the sheriff's office.
