Coaster Service Suspended Next Weekend From San Diego To Oceanside
Maintenance will include work on the Del Mar Bluffs stabilization and Sorrento Valley Station track maintenance projects.

OCEANSIDE, CA — The North County Transit District will temporarily suspend all coastal rail service next weekend for maintenance and major infrastructure work.
NCTD's Coaster service from San Diego to Oceanside will be suspended during the maintenance, with regularly scheduled service resuming on Sept. 22. Maintenance will include work on the Del Mar Bluffs stabilization and Sorrento Valley Station track maintenance projects, according to the district.
"Weekend closures occur periodically throughout the year on a pre-determined schedule to provide construction crews the opportunity to work safely on and along the rail line to complete preventative maintenance improvements and advance major railroad construction projects," the district said in a statement.
