Metrolink/Amtrak Service Closes From Oceanside To Laguna Niguel
Metrolink and Amtrak service shuts down between Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and Oceanside due to scheduled track work from Sep 16 - Oct 3.

OCEANSIDE, CA - Metrolink announced today that it is suspending rail service to the San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente and Oceanside stations beginning Thursday, September 16 for emergency track work to stabilize the right-of-way in the San Clemente area and ensure the safety of its operations. The suspended service will affect trains on the Orange County and Inland Empire-Orange County lines.
Metrolink’s goal is to resume service by Monday, October 4. If the work is done earlier than expected, Metrolink service will also resume, which will quickly be communicated to passengers. During the work period, Metrolink trains will operate as far south as the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Station.
Riders are encouraged to plan ahead if traveling between Oceanside and Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo on affected weekends, while also using Metrolink’s train tracker for real-time updates.
