Oceanside-Camp Pendleton Mom A Generous 'Mother Bear'

OCEANSIDE-CAMP PENDLETON, CA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your mom extra special?

I am 38 years old and my mother is still a very big part of my life. Until this day she continues to always be my mother bear, she is one of the three women in this world who I know for sure will always be there for me even with my faults. She is the best cook in the world.

My mother is also the best grandmother in the world, she always finds the time to make each of my children feel special to see her relationship with each of my three kids is something that I love to see my kids definitely love their "mum mum".

Why do you feel your mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom has the best heart in the world. She always is so generous. But for me I feel like its because of how hard she was on me and my sister. I didn't realize till I had kids of my own to understand why she was the way she was because now I found myself being just like her. Still till this day I really feel like I don't acknowledge her as much as I should but I just want her to know how much I appreciate her for all that she has done for me.
