Missing Man With Memory Issues Found Safe: Police

OCEANSIDE, CA — An at-risk elderly man suffering from memory issues was found safe Monday, authorities said.

Manuel Rico, 83, was last seen at 1 p.m. Sunday in the area of Quince Street and Washington Avenue in Escondido, according to the Oceanside Police Department.

Rico was described as Latino, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black and yellow long-sleeve shirt, yellow pants and brown shoes.

"Manuel is familiar with public transportation and known to frequent the Oceanside Transit Center and the Walmart in downtown Oceanside," officials said.

Police said Rico was found Monday. No other information was released.
