Overturned Cement Truck Prompts Delays On SR-78 In North County
The multi-vehicle crash happened on state Route 78 in between El Camino Real and Jefferson Street in Oceanside, according to the CHP.

OCEANSIDE, CA — A multi-vehicle crash involving a cement truck prompted traffic delays Monday morning in northern San Diego County.
The crash was reported at 7:40 a.m. on state Route 78 in between El Camino Real and Jefferson Street in Oceanside, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A cement truck overturned and collided with the center divider wall, the CHP said. Smaller vehicles were involved in the crash and there was a significant amount of debris.

Authorities issued a SigAlert for the area. All westbound and at least one eastbound lane on SR-78 at Jefferson Street were initially blocked, according to Caltrans. As of 9:51 a.m., two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane remained closed.
