Record-Breaking Heat Hits Oceanside

OCEANSIDE, CA – Normally we like to set records in Oceanside but not many are celebrating the record-breaking heat that is scorching our area.

The heatwave broke records across the region, including 98 degrees at Oceanside Harbor on Thursday, smashing the previous high of 81, which was set in 2010, according to the National Weather Service.

The record-setting heat has been paired with hot, gusty Santa Ana winds. But there's relief in sight as cooler weather approaches this weekend.

Elsewhere around the region, eleven cities broke their daily temperature record on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service, San Diego
