Your North County Transportation Feedback Requested
SANDAG and Caltrans Seek Feedback from the public on North County travel patterns and desired improvements. Take the survey by Aug 31.
OCEANSIDE, CA — Got opinions on traffic issues in Oceanside and around North County?
SANDAG and Caltrans are developing the North County Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan (CMCP), to identify transportation solutions that enhance the way people travel throughout North County. These solutions will be tailored to traveler needs and will connect the five vibrant cities and unique parts of unincorporated areas of the North County to each other and to the wider region. The CMCP will create a comprehensive set of safe, sustainable, and equitable transportation solutions to meet the needs of North County users.
The success of this plan depends on North County residents sharing their feedback on travel patterns and desired improvements. Take the survey now through August 31st and learn more by visiting the project website where you can submit comments and navigate the interactive mapping tool to share your ideas and insights.

North County San Diego is an integral part of the San Diego region and is home to unique challenges and opportunities. While this CMCP will inform long-range planning, there are imminent transportation projects such as the I-15/SR-78 Managed Lanes Direct Connectors project that will help alleviate traffic, create jobs, and prepare for the future.
Major transportation facilities within the North County Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan study area include the SPRINTER light rail between the Oceanside and Escondido transit centers, major local arterials like Palomar Airport Road that connect community members and job centers to major transportation facilities, State Route 78 (SR 78) between Interstate 5 (I-5) and Interstate 15 (I-15), western portions of State Route 76 (SR 76), and the Inland Rail Trail bike path between Oceanside and Escondido.
