13-Year-Old Killed In OC Shooting That Wounded 3 Other Teens: Police
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
SANTA ANA, CA — A 13-year-old boy was killed in a gang-related shooting Monday night in Santa Ana, according to police, who said three other teens were wounded in the incident.
Officers responded around 8:15 p.m. to multiple reports of gunfire in the 400 block of South Susan Street and arrived to find the boy shot in the upper torso, police said, adding he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other three victims — ages 14, 15 and 16 — also suffered gunshot wounds, according to police, who said the injured teens were taken to local hospitals and were expected to survive.

“At this time, the motive for the shooting appears to be gang-related,” the Santa Ana Police Department said in a news release.
