3-Alarm Santa Ana Fire Prompts Evacuations

The blaze was reported at 1:53 p.m. Tuesday.

SANTA ANA, CA -- A three-alarm fire broke out Tuesday afternoon at a structure in Santa Ana, prompting employees to evacuate from the building. The fire was reported at 1:53 p.m. at BEL Event Productions, a wedding planning business, at 2101 S. Yale St., according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

One employee was "so upset" about the fire that they were taken to an area hospital to be evaluated, according to OCFA. Twitter users in the area said they heard explosions.

About 85 firefighters from the county, Garden Grove, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach were sent to the scene.
