4 Arrested In Shooting Death Of OC Security Guard

Authorities have arrested four suspects on suspicion of killing a 48-year-old man working as a security guard at a bar.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Four men were arrested in connection with a shooting that left a 48-year-old man working as a security guard dead, authorities said Thursday.

The shooting was reported on Sunday, June 22 at 12:57 a.m., when Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 8000 block of Katella Ave. in Unincorporated Anaheim near 99 Bottles & Cocktails in response to shots fired.

They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. He was identified as Salvador Ramirez, of Fountain Valley.

Investigators say Ramirez was working as a security guard at the bar when the shooting happened. He was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries, authorities said.

On Wednesday, investigators arrested Los Angeles residents David Anthony Ortega, 44, Rene Jose Juarez Jr., 37, Max Maestas, 54 and Robert Allen Duncan, 43, on suspicion of murder.
