Arrest Made In Fatal Stabbing Of Man In Anaheim
Rolando Echenique, 36, was arrested in connection to the death of Jason Randall Dahl, 53, who was found dead in an Anaheim field Wednesday.
ANAHEIM, CA — A 36-year-old man was arrested this week in connection to the murder of a homeless man who was found fatally stabbed in an Anaheim field Wednesday.
The Anaheim Police Department announced Friday it arrested Rolando Echenique on suspicion of murder in the death of Jason Randall Dahl. Both men are homeless.
Echenique is being held on $1 million bail at the Anaheim Detention Facility, Anaheim Police Sgt. Jacob Gallacher said.

Police were called to a field Wednesday around 9:20 a.m. about a possible body in a field near Phoenix Club Drive and Sanderson Avenue.
Officers found Dahl in the field dead and with at least one stab wound, Anaheim police said.

Echenique was found near the crime scene on Thursday and taken into custody.
Gallacher declined to say how Echenique and Dahl might have known each other or a possible motive for the stabbing.
