  1. If you were tied up in traffic just before noon on I-10 East Thursday, it was because an 18-wheeler overturned on I-10 East near the 864 mile marker. The mishap occurred in front of Rickenjacks restaurant. See the photos here: (KFDM-TV News)
  2. A Celebration of Life will be held in Garden Grove Feb. 11 for the Orange County public defender who died while on vacation with his wife in Mexico. Elliot Blair died under suspicious circumstances while celebrating his first wedding anniversary in January.   3. When was the last great train robbery in Orange County? It happened in San Clemente on Aug. 24, 1925, well after "the Wild West was tamed," according to news accounts and research by the Orange County Historical Society. More details here: (San Clemente Times)
  4. Police are investigating shots fired in Westminster early Wednesday morning. Police called it "an attempted murder incident" they suspect may be connected to "an earlier raid on an alleged illegal gambling" operation. Officers on the scene "found seven to eight shell casings in the alleyway" and a vehicle with a bullet lodged in it. (orangecountytribune.com)
