Dad Detained By ICE While Dropping Child Off At OC Elementary: Report
An Orange County father was briefly detained by federal immigration agents Tuesday morning, The OC Register reported.
GARDEN GROVE, CA — An Orange County father was briefly detained by federal immigration agents Tuesday morning after dropping his child off at a Garden Grove Elementary School, The Orange County Register reported.
The incident was reported at about 7:50 a.m., when families notified school staff that a group of masked, unidentified individuals in unmarked cars had surrounded a man on the corner near campus, according to the report.
According to the newspaper, the man was handcuffed and taken away in one of the unmarked vehicles — he later returned to the school and told district officials that he had been inside an ICE vehicle parked at a lot near the school.

He told officials that he was released after showing documentation and confirming his identity, the report said.
