- Twenty-four-year-old Tyler Shipper was arrested after his 69-year-old father was found dead in the home they shared. A friend stopped by Bruce Shipper’s home in Irvine when he didn’t show up for work on Saturday. When Shipper’s son “appeared disheveled” and "wouldn’t let the friend inside the home to check on his father," he contacted Irvine Police. (KTLA Los Angeles)
- Rescue teams responded to the 24400 block of Christina Court in Laguna Hills at 3:28 p.m., where a woman was clinging to a tree in rising water from a fast-moving creek on Saturday. A rescue helicopter carried the woman to safety, "where she was reunited with family," Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Thanh Nguyen told City News Service. (CBS Los Angeles)
- Orange County will have another rainy day on Monday. Light rain is expected early in the day, with "a mix of sun and clouds in the afternoon. The high will be 59 with WSW winds from 10 to 20 m.p.h. Rain is expected in the evening, then skies will become partly cloudy overnight with a low of 46. The sun will return on Tuesday, with a high of 60. - Side airbags saved children in a Garden Grove motor vehicle accident Saturday. The Orange County Fire Authority, the Garden Grove Police Department and an ambulance responded to a traffic accident at 3:20 p.m. near the intersection of Great Wolf and Harbor Boulevard in Garden Grove, officials said in a recent social media post. Thankfully, "the children in the car were not injured due to the side airbags and their car seats," fire officials said. (Orange County Fire Authority via Facebook)
