Golf Tournament Raises Money For Orange County Youth Mentoring

The 45th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf Tournament was held on March 21 at the Newport Beach Country Club.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — More than 100 golfers took to the links at the Newport Beach Country Club on March 21 to help raise money for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire.

More than $347,000 was raised by 128 golfers during the 45th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County Golf Tournament, according to the event's organizers. Money raised by the tournament goes toward mentorship programs from Big Brothers Big Sisters, matching children with adult mentors.

Sloane Keane, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire, said this year's tournament was a huge success, raising $35,000 more than the previous year.

"The outpouring of funding and support reflected the passion our Orange County community has for mentoring and is a testament to our commitment to transform the lives of thousands of at-risk youth because mentorship matters," Keane said.
