Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong Searches For Stolen Classic Car
The lead singer and guitarist of the famed pop-punk band said his 1962 Chevrolet Nova was stolen in Costa Mesa.

COSTA MESA, CA — Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is reaching out to his Orange County fans to keep an eye out for a classic car stolen in Costa Mesa.
Armstrong posted Saturday on Twitter asking his fans to send "any sighting, tips or info" to the Costa Mesa Police Department for his stolen 1962 Chevrolet Nova, also known as the Chevy II.
"This car is near and dear to all our hearts and has been in the [Green Day] family for over 30 years," Armstrong tweeted.

Based on photos shared by Armstrong on Twitter, the car appears to have an off-white exterior with a dark-colored interior that features cheetah-print seats. The Chevy also has a black-and-yellow California license plate and chrome rims.
The car was taken from its parking spot on Victoria Street, east of the Santa Ana River, sometime after Friday afternoon, the Orange County Register reported.
