WWII US Navy Veteran Harold E. Carter will turn 98 years-old on February 11th. The United States Navy Memorial contacted the California VFW and requested veterans do a drive by birthday solute to this WWII Veteran. Dana Point Post 9934 and Mission Viejo Post 6024 have worked together to make this work. The Sheriff’s office will join the parade and Orange County Fire Authority will participate, along with the California Highway Patrol.
Weather should be good, and everyone washed up the cars for the Thursday Feb. 11th 1PM. drive by solute. It is in Cota De Caza, at Cota De Caza Drive just off Antonio Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita. The Pavilions shopping center serves at the gathering point. Let’s give this Veteran a good showing. Dana Point VFW is presenting Harold a VFW State Certificate.
