ANAHEIM, CA — A detective at the Anaheim Police Department is suing her supervisor, claiming he altered the city's sex offender registry as part of a harassment campaign against her, the Orange County Register reported.

Detective Laura Lomeli in the city's sex crimes unit claims her supervisor, Sgt. Jeff Dodd, altered data in the registry by either deleting data or "importing improper data," the lawsuit said according to the Register's report. Lomeli was in charge of maintaining the registry.

Lomeli said Dodd had been harassing her from January to October 2019 after she complained about being the only sex crimes detective required to cover a protest, and being denied overtime pay, the Register reported.
