Man Arrested Amid Violent Crime Spree Targeting Women In OC: Report

A 28-year-old was arrested after he was accused of punching the stomach of a woman eight months pregnant, along with four other assaults.

TUSTIN, CA — A 28-year-old man was arrested after he was accused of assaulting several women in Tustin on Friday evening, including a woman eight months pregnant, police said.

Sean Anthony Guilera reportedly assaulted an elderly woman near the 300 block of West 6th Street around 6:50 p.m., the Tustin Police Department said in a statement.

Witnesses told police they saw him push an elderly woman to the ground and flee just south of Old Town Tustin.

Police scoured the area, but could not find a suspect or the victim of the crime.

One hour later, another 911 call came in about a man attacking a woman near the closed Taco Bell on Newport Avenue. Witnesses gave the same suspect description as the first caller.

As police began searching for the suspect again, another 911 caller said a man attempted to get into her vehicle as she left her apartment complex near Walnut Avenue. Tustin police dispatched all available resources, including a helicopter from another agency to find the suspect, officials said.

Around 8:15 p.m., a Foothill Hospital security guard called 911 to report that he had attempted to fight off a man who attempted to steal his radio. Moments later, a final 911 caller said she had been punched in the stomach. She is eight months pregnant, authorities said.

After assaulting her, the man ran toward the dead end of Newport Avenue, where police officers located him. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail. He faces several charges.
