Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 2 Santa Ana Girls

SANTA ANA, CA — A 50-year-old man was charged Monday with sexually assaulting two girls in Santa Ana.

Felix Sanchez was charged with nine counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14 and six counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years or younger, all felonies, according to court records.

Sanchez was accused of sexually assaulting one of the girls in 2016 and the other girl in 2020 and last year, according to the criminal complaint.

Sanchez did not enter a plea Monday at his arraignment, which was rescheduled for Sept. 28 in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana. Sanchez was being held on $1 million bail.

Santa Ana police and the Orange County District Attorney's Office did not immediately respond to messages.
