Man Found Dead In Pond At OC Apartment Complex: Police

COSTA MESA, CA — A man was found dead Sunday morning in the pond of an apartment complex in Costa Mesa, according to police.

Authorities responded around 7:15 a.m. to the 3400 block of Avenue of the Arts, police said. Emergency personnel determined he was deceased, according to police, who noted that authorities do not believe the death to be suspicious.

“We extend our shared sentiment of sadness for the loss of a community member,” the Costa Mesa Police Department said in a news release.

An investigation is ongoing, according to police, who said the man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
