Man Molested, Kidnapped 16-Year-Old Coworker In Orange County
A 25-year-old man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a year in jail for kidnapping and molesting a 16-year-old girl.
ANAHEIM, CA — A 25-year-old man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a year in jail for kidnapping and molesting a 16-year-old girl at a Denny's restaurant where they both worked in Anaheim, court records show.
Hasmyr Helim Sanchez pleaded guilty to a felony count of kidnapping and a misdemeanor count of touching an intimate part of another person, according to court records.
As part of the plea deal, felony counts of rape, assault with the intent to commit a sex offense, sexual battery, assault of a minor with the intent to commit a sex offense and false imprisonment were dismissed.

Sanchez was sentenced to 364 days in jail Monday with 225 days credit behind bars. He will have to register as a sex offender for the next ten years.
Sanchez worked with the victim, who was a waitress, at a Denny's at 1610 S. Harbor Blvd., according to police testimony at the defendant's preliminary hearing. She said he sexually assaulted her in a storage room at the restaurant on May 17, 2021.

Sanchez was also accused by another co-worker from a Taco Bell in Anaheim, who said she was assaulted in a car with him, but those charges were dismissed.
