Here are the top stories today in Orange County:

  1. An Orange County resident now holds the world record for the most consecutive Disneyland visits, 2,995 in a row! Jeff Reitz of Huntington Beach broke the record "for the most consecutive visits to Disneyland, according to Guinness World Records," KTLA reported. Reitz said, “It started as a joke between friends." No word on how many times Reitz has been on Space Mountain. (Orange County Patch)
  2. Shots were fired at an apartment complex in Fullerton at about 10:41 p.m. Sunday, injuring three teens, police said on Monday. Authorities were called to "a gang-related shooting" at the 3800 block of Franklin Avenue near Magnolia Avenue. Responding officers provided aid to the injured teens until paramedics arrived. All are expected to survive. (Orange County Patch)
  3. More than 150 restaurants will participate in Orange County Restaurant Week from March 5-11, including 20 in Newport Beach, where eateries, including "Billy’s at the Beach, Cappy’s Café, Chihuahua Cerveza Taproom" and more, will offer a variety of lunch and dinner prix-fixe menus that range in price from $15 to $45.   4. "Can your dog climb a ladder or balance on a beam?" Watch the Orange County Fire Authorities' "best dogs" show off their skills at the open house on Saturday, March 4 from 10-3 p.m. at its Irvine headquarters. (Orange County Fire Authority via Facebook)
  5. Rain is in the forecast for Orange County through Wednesday, forecasters said, but the storm "will be weaker than the one that hit over the last couple of days." The storm system will bring storm-weary SoCal "more rain and snow across the state," the National Weather Service said, adding that "the pattern of moisture-heavy storms over the coming weeks" is especially beneficial "after California’s driest year on record."
