Orange County Coroner ID's Pedestrian Who Was Struck and Killed

ORANGE COUNTY, CA -- The Orange County coroner has released the name of a pedestrian struck by at least one vehicle near an intersection in Westminster and killed.

The victim, Hoang Tran, 62, was possibly a transient, Supervising Deputy Coroner Artin Baron said.

The crash took place about 4:20 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Washington Avenue, officials said. Tran was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of one vehicle remained at the scene after hitting the man and cooperated with police, the Orange County Register reported.
