Orange County Names Bob Page As The Next Registrar Of Voters
The hunt for the county's new registrar of voters began after Neal Kelley announced last year he was retiring from the role in March.
SANTA ANA, CA — Orange County has found its next registrar of voters, county officials announced Monday.
Bob Page will take over as the county's top election official on March 10 when Neal Kelley, the current registrar of voters, retires. Page will "oversee the fifth largest voting jurisdiction in the United States" as Orange County has more than 1.8 million voters, county officials said in a statement.
Frank Kim, the county's executive officer, said in a statement Page's appointment will be a "welcome addition" to Orange County.

"We greatly look forward to having Bob build upon the many accomplishments that the office has been recognized for under Neal Kelley," he said.
The hunt for Kelley's replacement began in November when he announced his intention to retire, according to the Voice of OC.

Kelley told the online publication that his departure after 17 years of service was "just good timing."
Page currently serves as the registrar of voters for San Bernadino County and holds degrees in religion and print journalism.
In a statement on his appointment, Page said he was committed to ensuring Orange County residents "continue to have access to the election process so their voices can be heard as voters and candidates." He also praised his predecessor.
"Neal developed and fostered an outstanding team and operation," Page said. "The registrar of voters team will carry on its successful tradition of conducting transparent, accurate and fair elections."
