Orange County Restaurant Named Among 100 Most Romantic In The US

FULLERTON, CA — Valentine's Day is just around the corner and, for those still wondering where to take their loved ones out to eat on Friday, OpenTable released its list of the "100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America" for 2022.

Restaurants providing the "most intimate culinary destinations" for diners made it to the list, OpenTable said. Only one restaurant in Orange County made it on to the list — Summit House in Fullerton.

To compile the list, OpenTable looked at restaurant reviews from Jan. 1, 2021, to Dec. 31, 2021, and gave each an overall school based on their overall diner rating, the total number of reviews and overall rating in the region, the restaurant reservation company said.

"Qualifying restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the percentage of reviews, for which 'romantic' was selected as a special feature," OpenTable said.

At Summit House, the restaurant strives to "create a hospitable place where friends can meet to eat, drink and delight in the view of North Orange County's countryside," the business's website said.

The exterior of the restaurant is modeled after an English-style inn and serves "good hearty fare" like prime rib and roast beef, its website said.

The restaurant received a score of 4.8 out of 5 stars on OpenTable's website, and dishes range in price from $31 to $50 per person.

There are no reservations available for dinner at Summit House on Valentine's Day, according to OpenTable.

The restaurant is at 2000 E. Bastanchury Road in Fullerton.
