Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Santa Ana Freeway In Anaheim

The crash was reported at 12:52 a.m. on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway at Euclid Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

ANAHEIM, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed Monday morning on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Anaheim.

The crash was reported at 12:52 a.m. on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway at Euclid Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian was found in the No. 2 lane but may have been struck in the No. 1 lane, the CHP said. White vehicle debris was found at the scene.

A witness told the CHP the vehicle that struck the pedestrian possibly left the scene and may have been a white pickup.

But a motorist contacted the CHP at 1:33 a.m. to say he hit something on the freeway, the windshield of his white Toyota Prius was blown out and its right side mirror was missing. He pulled over at Disneyland Drive.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at about 1 a.m. shutting down all southbound lanes but reopened the far right lane about 1:30 a.m. All lanes were reopened at 4:20 a.m.
