Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified To Ban Critical Race Theory: Report

PLACENTIA, CA — Trustees of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District are poised to ban any lesson plans from being taught at schools about systemic racism in the United States, according to a report from Voice of OC.

Also known as Critical Race Theory, the concept first gained prominence in the 1970s and puts forward the notion that racism is a systemic part of society in the U.S.

District officials told Voice of OC that Critical Race Theory is not taught at any of its schools despite plans for the board of education to hold a vote on April 5 on whether to ban the concept, the site reported.
