Shooting In La Habra Leaves 1 Man Critically Injured

LA HABRA, CA — A man was critically wounded in a shooting in La Habra, authorities said Monday.

Officers responded at 7:49 p.m. Sunday to a shots fired call in the area of Walnut Street and First Avenue, according to La Habra police Lt. Nick Baclit.

They discovered a man in his early 30s suffering from a gunshot wound, Baclit said.

The victim was taken by Los Angeles County Fire paramedics to a trauma center where he was listed in critical condition, the lieutenant said.

"Two male adults believed to have been involved have been detained in connection with the shooting; however, the investigation is still ongoing," he said. "At this time, no known additional suspects are believed to be outstanding."
