Teen Driver Crashes Into 2 Huntington Beach Homes
The driver was cited for driving without a license and reckless driving and released to a guardian, police said.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — An unlicensed 17-year-old boy apparently lost control of a vehicle and crashed into a tree and two houses in Huntington Beach, authorities said Saturday.
The crash occurred at 10:37 p.m. Friday in the 19100 block of Newland Street, according to a Huntington Beach Police Department statement.
"Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears that the vehicle was traveling south on Newland Street at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control," police said. "Impairment is not suspected."

The driver and his 18-year-old male passenger both complained of pain and were taken by ambulance to a hospital to be checked out, police said.
City building inspectors checked out the houses and limited occupancy of one of the structures until power was restored, police said.
