Two Men Killed In Car Crash After Shooting, Anaheim Police Say

The two men were wanted in connection to a restaurant shooting that happened a short time before the crash, police said.

ANAHEIM, CA — Police are saying two men who died early Monday morning in an Anaheim car crash were also suspects in a restaurant shooting that happened shortly before the fatal incident.

Then men, described as being in their 30s, died at the scene, the Anaheim Police Department said.

The crash happened shortly after midnight, and the car the men were in was traveling at high speeds when it drove through a red light and crashed into a traffic pole near the intersection of Brookhurst Street and La Palma Avenue, police said.

The men were possibly involved in several incidents at a restaurant in the 1700 block of West La Palma Avenue, about a mile away from the crash, police said.

The most recent incident happened before the crash, with several gunshots fired at the restaurants. No one was injured, police said. Police believe the shooting was because the men had been denied entry into the restaurant several times.
