HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — Do you hear the roar of jets in the sky? The 9th annual Pacific Airshow is back in Huntington Beach, drawing thousands to the Orange County coast to witness the three-day spectacle in the sky.

Here are five things to know about this year's Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach.

1. This year's event is the most internationally diverse to date.

According to organizers, Pacific Airshow Huntington Beach will set a new standard for international participation with representation from six Countries; USA, Canada, Germany, France, United Kingdom and Australia.

This year’s three-day event will feature an elite mix of military demonstration teams and world-renowned aerobatic pilots from around the world including a showcase of new and emerging technology.

"We’re honored to host such a diverse lineup of world-class pilots, performers and even inventors, who embody the spirit of aviation that brings us all together," said Kevin Elliott, Pacific Airshow’s Executive Director. "Whether you’re a lifelong aviation enthusiast or first-time visitor, you will be blown away by what you see."

Military performers announced to date include headliner and returning crowd favorite, U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, Canadian Forces Snowbirds (Canada), U.S. Air Force F-35A Demo Team, U.S. Air Force KC-135 Demo Team, U.S. Air Force C-17 West Coast Demo Team, U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler Legacy Team, U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey Demo, Louisiana Air National Guard Bayou Militia F-15s, and the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs Parachute Team, according to the website.

2. Residents in the surrounding area will hear noice starting Sept. 29.

Residents can expect intermittent jet noise starting Monday, Sept. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 5.

The Pacific Airshow itself takes place from Friday, Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 5. Orange County residents looking to ask questions of voice concern about the Pacific Airshow were asked to contact (714) 536-5985.

3. No drones are allowed anywhere near the annual event.

Drones are strictly prohibited within five miles of the 2024 Pacific Airshow, the Huntington Beach Police Department said.

According to airshow organizers, "any item, including drones that would or could negatively impact public safety, aircraft safety and/or present a threat, real or perceived are prohibited from Pacific Airshow."

4. Residents in nearby areas may see flyovers before the show begins.

According to Pacific Airshow organizers, pilots are hard at work preparing for the three-day event.

Orange County residents can expect to hear jet noise throughout the week, with organizers stating that residents "may see flyovers" come Monday.

5. Tickets for the 2025 Pacific Airshow are still on sale.

Residents interested in viewing the three-day spectacle for themselves can still purchase general admission tickets for one or all three days of the Pacific Airshow. For more information, visit the Pacific Airshow's website.
