Woman Found Dead In Tent; Police Investigate Homicide In OC
The public's help was sought by police as they investigate the death of a 43-year-old woman whose body was found bleeding in a tent.
ANAHEIM, CA — Authorities sought the public's help Thursday as they investigate the death of a 43-year-old homeless woman whose body was found in a tent in an Anaheim field.
Anaheim Police Department and Anaheim Fire & Rescue personnel were dispatched at about 3 a.m. Tuesday to the 2100 block of West Crescent Avenue to investigate a report of a woman who was unconscious and bleeding at the location.
The woman was identified as 43-year-old Jessica Elaine Crummel of Anaheim. She was found in a tent in a large unoccupied field on the north side of the street, police said.

Police are investigating the incident as a homicide, Anaheim police spokesman Sgt. Matt Sutter said.
Crummel may have been living out of her tent at the time she was killed, he said.
