High Surf, Dangerous Rip Currents Expected At Palisades Beaches
Forecasters are warning people to stay out of the ocean until late Tuesday morning.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A high surf advisory has been issued for Los Angeles County Beaches until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The National Weather Service forecasts large, breaking waves of 4 to 7 feet and dangerous rip currents for Catalina and Santa Barbara islands, the Malibu Coast and county beaches.
The forecasters warn that conditions create an increased risk for drowning, while rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. The large waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks and capsize small boats. Jetties can be especially dangerous.
