These Are The Homes Destroyed In The Palisades Fire: Map
With more than 5,000 structures damaged in the Palisades Fire and many unable to return home, authorities mapped the destruction.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Thousands of people in Malibu and Pacific Palisades lost almost everything in the Palisades Fire, and the enormity of that lost is just coming into focus even as the threat of further devastation continues.
With a new Santa Ana windstorm blowing though the canyons and ashes of burned homes, law enforcement officials suspended escorts back into the evacuation zones Sunday to preserve resources. Over the weekend, the long lines of residents seeking escort to return home overwhelmed law enforcement officials.
As of Monday, the Palisades Fire had devoured 23,713 acres and was 14 percent contained. Authorities estimate that more than 5,000 structures have been destroyed or damaged in the blaze.
