From The Palisades To Dallas: Amalfi Estates Eyes Texas For Its First Expansion

So many Californians are moving to Texas that Amalfi Estates is targeting Dallas for its first expansion outside of the Palisades.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — You might have heard that a lot of people are moving from California to Texas — so much so that real estate brokerage Amalfi Estates is targeting Dallas for its first expansion outside of the Palisades, according to a recent report.

The Real Deal reported that the real estate agency will expand to Dallas with a focus on the kind of high-end neighborhoods it serves in Los Angeles.

“A lot of people from Los Angeles are moving. The biggest destinations are Dallas, Scottsdale, Arizona and Nashville,” Chad Singer, the leader of Amalfi's Dallas operations told The Real Deal. “ Amalfi Estates does high-end luxury in Los Angeles. We will bring that type of buyer to another market.”

Los Angeles County — the nation's most populous — lost over 90,000 people between 2021-22, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Forbes found that Texas was the most popular place for Californians to move to in 2019, 82,235 Golden State residents moved to the Lone Star State that year. Other popular locations included Arizona, Nevada, Washington and Oregon.
