92-Year-Old Woman ID'd In RivCo Collision
The woman was pronounced dead at Desert Regional Medical Center not long after she was fatally injured on Sunday afternoon.
PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Riverside County Coroner's Office has identified a 92-year-old woman who was killed in a crash involving two vehicles in Palm Springs on Sunday.
Dell Morgan, of Palm Springs, was pronounced dead at Desert Regional Medical Center not long after she was fatally injured on Sunday afternoon, according to the coroner's report.
At around 3:24 p.m., Palm Springs Police Department officers responded to a crash involving two cars at the intersection of South El Cielo Road and Kirk Douglas Way.

Officers determined that a white Mazda was traveling northbound on the number two lane of South El Cielo Road when a gray Honda sport utility vehicle, going southbound, attempted to make an eastbound left turn and entered the path of the Mazda.
Morgan was taken to a Desert Regional Medical Center, where she later succumbed to major injuries.

Police said the driver of the Mazda remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Neither drugs or alcohol are suspected to be a factor in the crash, police said.
