Borrego Springs Chamber Hires New Executive Director
Françoise Rhodes was unanimously hired by the Board of Directors in early February.

On February 11, 2020 the Board of Directors at the Borrego Springs Chamber of Commerce made a unanimous decision to hire Françoise Rhodes as their new Executive Director. Rhodes has been working with the Chamber for several years as their lead PR & Marketing associate for Borrego Days, the community's largest annual event held in October for the past 54 years, the kickoff event for the season.

About Rhodes:
Rhodes is a California native and producer and host of her long running television show Traveling With Françoise on Fox11, Hulu, Fubo, DirecTV and more. She is going on 35 years as a journalist with stories published in a multitude of magazines, newspapers, blogs, videocasts and more. After 18 years on radio, Rhodes transitioned her popular radio show Traveling With Françoise to a live Facebook show with the current reach in the thousands. With a long tenure in PR & Marketing Rhodes is also the founder of the nonprofit Artifacts & Arts Across America whose mission is to feature small towns across America, the blueprint of our country. Combined with her love of travel having traveled her entire life, Rhodes felt this was the perfect time to bring a new look and feel to the Borrego Spring Chamber of Commerce & Welcome Center.
"When the Chamber approached me it immediately felt right, through the years I've experienced the marketing potential in this wonderful area as it is the gateway to the Anza Borrego Desert State Park which is visited by tourists from around the world along with Borrego officially being the second designated International Dark Sky Community in the world. I couldn't wait to get started and jumped right in on day one."

Unfortunately within a month after being hired the pandemic hit, bringing to a halt the community events Rhodes was scheduling. However Rhodes confirms that much has been accomplished behind the scenes and sees the Chamber moving forward in a positive new direction for its members, business owners and residents of this unique community in the unincorporated area of San Diego County.
