RivCo Man Arrested For Grand Theft, Other Offenses Following Vehicle, Foot Pursuit

LA QUINTA, CA — A 37-year-old man suspected of theft and injuring a motorist after colliding into another vehicle during a vehicle pursuit that started in La Quinta was arrested, authorities said Friday.
Noe Flores of Coachella was booked into Benoit Detention Center in Indio on Thursday on suspicion of grand theft, assault on a police officer and a hit-and-run with injury among other offenses.
His bail was set at $1 million.

Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop to a driver involved in a theft investigation shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Avenue 47 and Adams Street, when the suspect failed to stop, fled the scene and a pursuit ensued, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
During the pursuit, Flores attempted to crash into a sheriff's vehicle, according to Sgt. Patrick Mushinskie.

It ended along Avenue 48 in Indio when he crashed into "an uninvolved motorist."
Flores, who left the vehicle and subsequently fled on foot north into a housing community, was later found in the 83000 block of Boise Street, Mushinskie said.
The motorist was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Flores was arrested Wednesday.
