SR-35 Reopened After Grass Fire Put Out

The vegetation fire broke out Thursday afternoon near Page Mill Road, according to a Cal Fire report.

PALO ALTO, CA — State Route 35 has reopened after a grass fire with downed power lines shut the highway down south of Alpine Road in San Mateo County.

A crew responded to the scene of the fire, which is located near Page Mill Road north of State Route 9 in San Mateo County. It appears to amount to less than an acre by 4:15 p.m.

The closure was called in at about 3:11 p.m., the California Highway Patrol reported, while issuing a Sig Alert at the time.
