Gunshot At Palo Alto Park Was Fired For 'Unknown Reason': Police
Police found several unspent rounds of 9mm handgun ammunition on the ground, but did not find that any person or object had been struck.

PALO ALTO, CA — Police have not determined why an unknown suspect at Palo Alto's Eleanor Pardee Park fired a gunshot Tuesday afternoon before fleeing in a vehicle.
No one was injured in the incident, police said. A man was seen running from the park with two associates, according to the Palo Alto Police Department. Police found several unspent rounds of 9mm handgun ammunition on the ground, but did not find that any person or object had been struck.
The suspect, described as a skinny Hispanic male in his 20s, wearing a black t-shirt with black pants, was standing with two others in the park near the Center Drive side when a shot rang out, and all three ran towards a parked car near Kent Place and Center Drive, police said.

The car, a described by witnesses as a Honda Civic four-door, drove southbound on Center Drive toward Channing Avenue. One of the three people had a handgun, a witness told police.

The other two people were described as a skinny Hispanic male in a black t-shirt and a Hispanic female with long, straight, chest-length brown hair. Both of them were in their twenties.
