Officer Trades Squad Car For Flintstone Rig

Palo Alto police Officer David Tchang's family won first place in the California Avenue Halloween Family Costume Contest downtown.

PALO ALTO, CA -- Good thing city police Officer David Tchang had time off last weekend. It would have been difficult to catch the bad guys since he was using a vehicle out of the stone age. Still, Tchang won first place for his rendition of a wagon-turned-car resembling the Flintstones' car for the costume contest at the California Avenue Trick or Treat and Blossom Halloween Carnival.

His family even backed him up -- including his six-month-old daughter as a spittin' image of Pebbles.

"And we didn't even know about the contest," Tchang told Patch.
