Stanford Is The Hardest College To Get Into In America: Report
Niche's 2022 rankings were based largely on acceptance rate and reduced the weight of ACT and SAT test scores.
PALO ALTO, CA — Stanford University is the hardest college to get into in America, according to Niche’s 2022 rankings.
The new rankings were based largely on acceptance rate and reduced the weight of ACT and SAT test scores to reflect a de-emphasis of test scores in the college admissions process, according to Niche. The revised weight for any factor including test scores was decreased by 50 percent.
“Our team recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic, especially as new variants such as the delta variant arise, will continue to have an outsize impact on the college admissions process this year,” says Luke Skurman, CEO and Founder of Niche, in a news release. “We wanted to make sure our 2022 rankings reflect the current reality.”
