Today's Happenings About Town
Celebrate Chanukah, ponder a world with no nuclear weapons, tour the area's finest homes and boutiques for worthy causes, voice your opinion about a proposed new cell tower, and find support if you are the caregiver of a young child.

1. Celebrate at the Interfaith Families Pre-Hanukkah Party, hosted by Congregation Beth Am of Los Altos Hills and the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center of Palo Alto. Connect with other interfaith families and get ready for Hanukkah with a festive dinner of latkes, the decorating of hanukiahs or Hanukkah menorahs, candle making and dreidel spinning. Each family will go home with a hanukiah, a box of candles, dreidels, gelt and other traditional items to help celebrate Hanukkah at home. It all takes place tonight from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Oshman Family JCC, 3921 Fabian Way in Palo Alto. The cost is $4-$5 for children 12 and under, $6-$8 per adult, and free for children 2 and under. For more information or to RSVP, call 650-223-8602 or visit betham.org.
