1 Injured In Carson Chemical Explosion
One person suffered burn injuries in an explosion that occurred as a truck was loading jet fuel at a chemical storage terminal in Carson.
CARSON, CA — One person suffered minor burns Monday in an explosion and fire at an oil and chemical storage terminal in Carson.
Firefighters sent to the 2000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard at 5:40 a.m. extinguished the flames in about a half hour, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.
The explosion and fire at the Kinder Morgan terminal occurred as a truck was either loading or unloading jet fuel at the facility, according to the Los Angeles Times.
